Adeia contributes to the evolution of AI across models, systems, and infrastructure, helping to build solutions to some of the most formidable challenges in the field.

Adeia researchers have made vital contributions to large language models (LLMs) and visual language models (VLMs). As the current Transformer architecture is approaching limits, Adeia will help move the industry beyond LLMs and transformers, investigating new, more efficient architectures with multimodality and real-world reasoning.  

Meanwhile, edge AI, agentic AI, and physical AI all have specific application requirements, and we are contributing here as well. Agentic AI will require new communication protocols, coordination mechanisms, and security models – areas where Adeia is actively innovating.
